Boxer Shorts / Pants
I plan to wear a lottt of boxer style shorts and pants in the coming months. I snagged these, majorly marked down, and am going to live in them. People have had positive things to say about this line. I have my eye on both of these (under $40), J. Crew and Los Angeles Apparel. As well as these. I’m picturing all of the above with a good sandal, something along the lines of this.
Fire Red

No surprise here; I love red in any shade. While I tend to gravitate more towards this color, something about this particular hue feels fresh and appropriate for Spring. I don’t have any weddings on the horizon, but if I did I would certainly be wearing this. Too bad everything in Donni’s perfect Tomato sold out instantly. For now, I’ll personally be incorporating the shade through activewear and good packaging.
I stumbled on this vintage cashmere sweater, it’s worn but the quality of the cashmere is unbeatable.
Anything and Everything from Doen

The next best thing after the Ischia dress, the Sebastiane skirt, now available in black and white. And no, it’s not sheer. The Leanne dress also looks great. Doen’s Spring and Summer collections are always the highlight for me.
East West Bags

I’ve always had an affinity for this silhouette, and The Row, Khaite, Loewe and now Hermès have only further confirmed it. Enter the new Birkin - I’m no expert, but by the looks of it, Hermès is bringing back Jean-Paul Gaultier’s shoulder Birkin.
The Row’s EW Margaux is my favorite take on the popular bag. Sign me up for anything practical, and anything that alludes to the 90’s. I love the elongated strap and how the bag sits perfectly under your arm.
Off White Woven Leather
White woven leather, as inspired by Bottega’s recent drop. Although this piece from St. Agni originally caught my eye a few months ago (also available in a beautiful chocolate brown), comes at a much more practical price. Thankfully, there’s no shortage of affordable alternatives, starting with a $69 basket bag from Etsy, this woven leather tote, or Dragon Diffusion’s version of the clam silhouette. Other favorite shapes from DD: triple jump and mini Gora. And while we’re on the topic, I have been admiring these for actual years.
Unexpected Flat

Dressing for pregnancy, with most of my usual suspects out of the picture, has left me feeling slightly…lame? I added these to my closet recently and they have been doing the job of adding an interesting, unexpected element to my daily look. I haven’t walked miles in them, but so far they’re far more comfortable than I expected. I went up half a size.
Other top picks: sock mesh flats, and Mary Jane mesh flats. Some second hand options: The Row, HEREU X CECILIE BAHNSEN and Celine.
Trench Coats
This isn’t the first time I’ve pushed a trench coat (see here and here, not sure how it managed to escape this one), and it won’t be the last. It’s the easiest way to look put together and the perfect answer to spring outerwear. Especially if you’re pregnant and somehow carrying the weight in your butt and thighs… ;) If we’re dreaming, I’ll take this. But this one from Róhe has a similar appeal. Also chic. I find a single breasted take makes a trench, if it can still be called a trench, (jury’s out?) less preppy. Example A and B. Some picks from The RealReal: Max Mara, Flannel, Burberry. And if you’re not a long coat kind of gal, this shorter version might just be for you.
What are you leaning on this Spring?
Love this post! Are you getting more wear out of the black or white Sebastiane skirt?
v excited to add the boxer shorts in for spring-envision pairing them with a sweater and trench for transitional dressing 🤍
