Theme of the trip was low maintenance, how'd I do?
I told myself I wouldn’t buy anything specifically for this trip. I feel like that’s where people often go wrong, and unthoughtful purchases are made, resulting in regret and a one time wear. I’ve found it’s better to buy things you truly love when you see them, collecting over time, rather than shopping on impulse for an upcoming event or trip. That’s how I landed with this outfit, thoughtful purchases made over time, that I knew would become closet staples.
It’s been a minute since I put on an outfit that I felt excited about and inspired by, so I searched for some similar pieces to hopefully help you achieve that same feeling.
I'm not sure if it was the rest and relaxation, or the resurgence of sunshine, but if I had to be completely honest, and put my money on it, I’d say it’s the tan, that gave me a much needed surge of motivation and inspiration. February and March can be tough man.
Some very good beach/summer bags:
And some unique jewelry pieces:
And because these somehow got left out above, three beautiful red jasper and silver bracelets: 1, 2, 3.
I wasn’t interested in buying new swim for my new body, for whatever reason. I wore my usual Mikoh suits, size S top and L bottom. Because the bottoms are adjustable on the sides, they still managed to fit. The size S top was more than a bit of a stretch, a M or possibly even a L would have worked better. I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again; I’ve been wearing Mikoh for years and am such a fan of their quality fabrics and extensive selection of bottom silhouettes. Something for everyone.
I had always heard that Hunza G worked as maternity swim and was skeptical, but turns out the rumor is true.
One of the very best parts of the trip was how truly laid back everything was. I applied makeup only once, and could have gotten away with bringing only the products above, plus a toothbrush and toothpaste of course.
If you’re interested in everyyy cosmetic item I packed, I shared on TikTok here.
A few favorite sandals at the moment:
I packed 3 pairs of shoes (red, brown and black), which I considered an accomplishment, but I ended up buying these in the gift shop and didn’t wear much else.
