Live from the flight back to Chicago from LA, hi! I’m taking advantage of the fact that the wifi is working semi decently, and thought we could catch up.
Here’s a brain dump, for lack of better words, from the last few days. Which naturally includes some well priced, second hand Khaite and The Row finds, because that makes sense.
We were in LA for the weekend visiting Max’s family, and managed to squeeze in all my favorite meals possible. Starting with Goop Superfina, always the first meal post plane ride. An Erewhon breakfast burrito was had, a smoothie from Beverly Hills Juice, pressed freeze, sandwiches from the Cheese Store of Beverly Hills (which are as good as everyone says) and dinner at Dolce Vita and Matsuhisa. Oh! And ice cream from Awan…really good.
I don’t miss much about LA, but I definitely miss the food (if you couldn’t tell). And my LA people!
We’re moving this week!!! Not far at all (this almost feels like an under statement), and the move should be easy (fingers crossed), and everything will look nearly the same. I’m finally diving into nursery mode, although I’m admittedly feeling a bit behind.
This mobile doesn’t align with the nursery vision I have for our baby, but it’s beautiful nonetheless and might catch your interest if you’re also in this life stage? Hand crafted in Kenya and made from recycled materials. More equally beautiful, similarly concepted mobiles here.
The scale of this is too small, but how incredible would this be hung in a nursery? It reminds me of Eric Carle’s work. If you love it as much as I do, maybe you could reach out to the artist and have something larger commissioned.
I’m also enamored with canopy beds at the moment.
I really want a canopy bed, but unfortunately now is not my time. One day though…
