Part 2! Of what I won’t be wearing in Europe this summer, but hope that you do.
Lately I’ve found myself asking, how can I make this outfit feel more “me?”, and less like everything else I’m seeing on Instagram. This is somewhat of a challenge, as someone who does like to dress simple, isn’t huge on color or pattern, but values feeling like I have my own identity and a personal touch to what I’m wearing.
One simple way I’ve been doing this is by choosing touches of brown when black might seem like the more obvious choice. It’s a small difference, but adding a touch of brown to a black outfit makes things feel less stereotypically minimal, and a bit softer.
Another way I combat this, is by adding something vintage or one-of-a-kind, something not so mass produced. It feels more satisfying and keeps things interesting.
How do you make your looks feel personal to you?
